RIDEsuite in the spotlight at 2025 VI-grade ZERO PROTOTYPES Summit

MegaRide will participate at the 2025 ZERO PROTOTYPES Summit, scheduled for May 13–15 at VI-grade’s SimCenter in Udine, Italy. The event focuses on simulation-driven vehicle development, featuring presentations and demonstrations from OEMs, suppliers, motorsport teams and research institutions.

Participants will have the opportunity to explore MegaRide’s simulation technology firsthand, fully integrated into VI-grade’s driving simulators.

The setup, implemented on the DiM400, one of the most advanced dynamic simulators worldwide for industrial applications, enables real-time interaction with MegaRide’s advanced tire models and virtual testing tools. In extension to thermal and wear behavior, the RIDEsuite also accounts for ride and comfort-related dynamics, making it possible to enhance the driver’s feeling for both low-frequency and high-frequency scenarios. This allows users to evaluate not only vehicle performance, but also how setup choices affect driver comfort and feel, directly within a virtual environment.

A joint presentation by MegaRide and PIRELLI TYRE, held by Andrea Sammartino (Project Coordination Manager, MegaRide) and Marco Sbrosi (Tyre Modelling and Driving Simulator, Pirelli Tyre), titled “Advanced tire modeling approach for vehicle behavior validation on low-friction surfaces”, will showcase a new method combining tire subsystem data with track testing. The approach integrates flat track, trailer, and DiL sessions using a consistent measurement chain to improve wet track simulations.

Results and comments, utilizing objective vehicle dynamics metrics and subjective feedback from the driver, will be analyzed to demonstrate the accurate reproduction of the vehicle’s behavior on low-friction surfaces.
